Updated: Jan 31, 2022

LaborMiami is powered by our partnerships. Each quarter we plan to highlight one of our partners and their work. This quarter we’re shining a light on Catalyst Miami and all their amazing work.

Catalyst Miami is an organization that has been serving Miami for decades. Founded in 1996 by now Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Catalyst Miami’s mission is to identify and collectively solve issues adversely affecting low-wealth communities throughout Miami-Dade County. They achieve this mission and vision through their programming and strategic partnerships with organizations and initiatives like The Miami Foundation and LaborMiami.org.

Catalyst hosts a variety of community- oriented programs all centering increased equity. These include financial and health services, small business support, the North Miami community investment cooperative, the worker-owned enterprises program, tax preparation services, the Building Prosperity Workforce Cohort, and the Children's Saving Account Program Future Bound.
