People fleeing political persecution and difficult living conditions require special care and understanding to have a successful new beginning in a different country.
Jewish Community Services
JCS’ culturally diverse, multi-lingual staff offer recent arrivals to the U.S. critically needed help and support with the immigration process. Services include assistance with permanent residency (‘Green Card’), obtaining visas, extension of visits in the U.S., naturalization (citizenship), petitioning for a relative from abroad and other matters pertaining to Citizen and Immigration Services (CIS).
Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services
The Office of New Americans is a countywide initiative to raise awareness about the importance of citizenship. Its mission is to empower immigrants eligible for naturalization to become more civically and economically engaged in our communities by facilitating access to the resources they need to attain citizenship and to prosper.
Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS)
Gain important skills and knowledge for life, school, and work through the MDPLS’ free programs and resources. We offer over 16,000 training sessions through LinkedIn Learning, resume review and editing with Tutor.com, Business Plans Handbook (Gale), demographic data (Demographics Now), legal forms, and more resources for individuals and businesses.

Office of New Americans
The Office of New Americans of Miami-Dade (ONA) is a public-private partnership that works to ensure aspiring Americans in our county achieve economic stability, immigrant integration, and civic engagement in order to be full citizen.

Open Arms Community Center
Open Arm Community Center is recognized and accredited by the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Legal Access Program to provide immigration assistance to the community in need.
Sant La
Eligible Legal Permament Residents (LPRs) are assisted in applying for their US citizenship through naturalization application and civics review. The curriculum and techniques used prepare students for the one-on-one interview process while proving a basic understanding of American government.

Through funding from the United States Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) and United Way of Miami-Dade, YCI provides immigration services.
