South Florida Community Land Trust
The Community Land Trust (CLT) Model is designed to preserve affordable housing in perpetuity, one generation after the next. The CLT acquires land and serves as the permanent repository and steward for the residences that are built upon it. Unlike traditional affordable housing strategies, the land is never resold, but is held forever in trust and works for both homeownership and rental strategies.
Salvation Army Miami
At the Salvation Army, our doors are open every day, and night of the year. Through our emergency housing facilities, homeless shelters, transitional living centers, group homes, and family shelters, we provide over 10 million nights of lodging annually. In addition to supplying shelter from the elements, beds, food, and basic hygiene resources to those in need, we help combat long-term homelessness in America by serving homeless adults, veterans, and children with holistic physical, emotional, and spiritual support.
Opa-locka CDC
The OLCDC has been dedicated to ensuring South Floridians have access to affordable housing since our inception in 1980. Over time, tackling the area's lack of affordable housing became OLCDC's major focus. OLCDC has developed and sold 145 single-family homes to low-to-moderate-income first-time homebuyers and, through partnerships with private developers, has built over 2500 units of rental housing.
